well, i forgot all about president's day weekend...
so traffic was terrible and there were zero parking spaces thanks to all the downhill skiers using the x-country parking lot.
but after a long, slow drive and 40 minutes of looking for a parking space, it was perfect.
it had snowed all weekend so the trails had fresh snow - no ice.
plus, i got there early enough that traffic on the trail was pretty light.
afterwards, i had forgotten all about my traffic-filled morning.
hooray for a close-by mountain and my beautiful new skis (thank you carolee & senor!)

We are so thrilled you are getting to enjoy xc skiing again... the fresh air, execise, God's bewutiful views of nature and yes even alone time( i do my best prayinf while skiing)...it is such a joy in our lives even at 59 yrs old and we have been skiing for 39 yrs !!It is a great ;lifetime sport...(now we will have to convince Andy to join you as he enjoyed skiing in mich in dec!! ...hehe)... see you in march!!
