up in the u.p.

as usual, we spent the week after christmas in the snowy u.p.*
and as usual, we had a really wonderful time.

thank you to my parents for enabling us to take this trip and for filling our time with cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, snow-shoeing, ice skating, stackable scrabble, word crunch, thrift stores visits, tasty meals with homecaught salmon, and lots of enjoyable, familiar family time.

we love you guys!!

we were also blessed to get to spend some quality sister time with katie.
thank you for taking off extra vacation time so you could see us.

it was unseasonably warm. truly.
but the snow was there and that is all that mattered!
