badges.

my junior(?) year of high school (@ a private catholic school), we were all issued magnetic name tags which had to be worn during all school hours. they were a bit ridiculous and kind of felt like they were needed just so the teachers could remember our names. in reality, they wanted us to wear them (teachers too) as a security measure so intruders could be spotted.

this week at work, we have been taking photos for badges which will be issued to all employees: from receptionists to the president to field guys. it definitely feels like overkill - especially for those of us who never leave our desks. in any case, word class service here we come! :)
