one of my life goals is to learn how to can and to do it well.
today was day one.

over the last couple months, i have been gathering supplies and today was my experimental day. luckily, i had andy's help and we didn't go all out but instead, just made 6 jars worth of strawberries. i wouldn't say it went amazingly well but it's a start. next weekend, we hope to head to the columbia gorge, where there are farms upon farms, to find our next canning specimen. until then, you can snicker at our first attempt.
